Our co-founder, Lisa Beattie Frelinghuysen, recently joined "The Business of the V" podcast to share the moving story behind ClutchKit's creation and our mission to prevent unintended pregnancies.

The idea was born on the eve of the 2017 Women's March during a special dinner with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Gloria Steinem, and other speakers at the March. The group discussed the idea of empowering young people with the health tools they need to live their dreams. Years later, after the Dobbs decision, three accomplished women from law, finance, and fashion came together to bring this vision to life.

"I was so thankful that I was able to become a mother when I was ready to do so - both financially and mentally. That to me was so important," Lisa shared, highlighting the importance of timing when it comes to family planning. Each ClutchKit contains three essential reproductive tools - condoms, a pregnancy test, and emergency contraception, aka the morning-after pill.
